i have two audiobahns aw1206t with 2 old sonys p5 each subs have 400 rms most of you said that this set up sucks well i like it because it gets really loud but im going to be honest the sq is a little bad but not that bad,

so i recently buy a 18 sx from re audio and is already home i have a 96 ford explorer i dont have an amp right now so im going to hook the soys amps each on each coil with the same settings, the box??????
well i was building a box for two 15 inch subs the box is around 12 cft the measurements are 24x35x24 correct me if im wrong, so you think the 18 inch can handle that volume

im planning to buy a new amp and is the precicion power dcx 1500.1 is 15000 watts rms at 1 ohm so how much db aproximate can i do with this set up and can the reaudio sx 18 ich handle that volume????

oh and is this a good set up and wat amp(cheap but good)can you recomend if the amp is not to good.
wath you think of the clarion755vd headunit with the lcd screen??/

lilrob,

If you have a 12cuft (gross)box built, you may want to block of the corners so that you have no 90degree angles. That will take up a lil space in the box. You can play w/ that box and give the SX18 8-10cuft after displacments. Tune to ~33hz.

8.25cuft (net) w/ 90sq inches of port 19" deep would be great.

Since its an Explorer, fire the sub up and the port back.

that ppi dcx1500.1 will be a pretty darn good amp.

oh...if your box is 24"x35"x24" external (w/ 3/4" MDF), that would be 9.81cuft (gross).

in that case...just do 80sq inches of port 15.5" long. that will give you ~8.85cu ft (net)
