I'm new to this, so bare with me.I recently perchased a 10" Sola baric. It's 450rms watts and Dual 4 ohm voice coils. If i run this parallel=8 omh or series=2 omh, yes.
So, I planing on getting a Rockford Fosgate 2 channel 451s amp to match my sub's RMS, but the problem is the amp produce 450rms Watts x 1 @ 4 ohms.
Here come my questions:
1. Can i run the sub with this amp then??

2. Do i have to match the amp ohm to the sub ohm?

3. If so, any suggestion on amp?

fosgate is one of my favorit brands but for the past 5 years they have been on the sh!tter the amp may be stable to 2ohms but if it says it isnt then i would go with somthing els try a JBL amp or an MTX amp

solo baric L5's tend to not be able to handle their rated RMS power in most cases, a kicker kx400.1 is a PERFECT amp for that sub, and no there is not a good way to wire that sub up to run it on that amp

and last thing, you got paralell and series messed up

4+4 ohm DVC paralell = 2 ohm
4+4 ohm DVC series = 8 ohm

if you had gotten the dual 2 ohm (if possible?) version of the S10L5, you would be able to run it off that amp bridged or in stereo mode

sell that amp and buy a KX400.1

Yes, U'r right. My mistake.
It's 4ohmDVC in series = 8 ohm.
paralell = 2 ohm.

Planing on having one sub in my car only. So i guess i should have bought the sub with Dual 2 ohm instead of Dual 4 ohm.(my bad):-(

Thanks its_bacon12
