Someone recently told me that the adire audio Shivas were similar to the old e12k elementals. Those were only 250-300 rms and the Shivas are around 650 rms. So i was wondering if those 2 12s are worth bothering with?

the 12k's with the blue e on the cone?

if they are the e cone k's, they can handle a ton of power...

about 300-700w rms and 16mm 1 way xmax

the shivas and e12k's are almost exactly the same, but i like the 12k's more because of box flexibility - go ported with them

i would reccomend sealed, im not sure if they are meant for ported.....but you can always try porting a box to around 32 Hz and trying it out

I have a jbl 1200.1 amplifier and it should push those shivas pretty nicely wouldnt you say? But right now i am having a problemn with keeping my two RE SE 15s staboe at 1 ohm so would i have the same problem with these 12s at 1 ohm?>

The Shivas need a larger box sealed and/or ported....~2.5cf ported and >1.4 sealed vs 1.5cf ported for the ED 12K and ~1cf sealed
