Last night i had a wire short out from my power dis. block to my EMS lights (there on a switch). The dis block is mounted on the back seat of my honda accord, and the wire melted my RCA's and kind of cut into my 4 gauge ground wire. My subs would only make this low volume buzzing noise, and before i got my headunit i had a LOC box so i hooked up the RCA's to it and my subs worked fine.

So this morning i went out and ran NEW rca's to the head unit (its a pioneer deh-pm8p by the way) and the buzzing noise came back. So i tried it on the front, rear, and sub out puts and its just the buzzing noise. As soon as i hooked it up to the LOC box the subs worked fine. So im guessing i blew out the outputs on my headunit? The other speakers all work fine.

are your RCA's at least 18" away from your power cord?

I just got done rewireing my car with 4Ga on driver side, And my RCA's are on the other side of the car just to be shure.
