I already have 2 12" Alpine R's should I seal or pot them?
What size box would you suggest?

I mostly listen to stuff like techno, electronica, and some rap but I like really fast rap.

I bought them on ebay and wanted to have the box's built before they get here.

My only local audio place is Circut City they dont carry Alpine. And there is an audiobahn installer...

I have just heard a lot of people say R's sound great. and this is my first sub setup. I figured everyone would know.

I know RE's probably would have been better but I like to buy off of ebay.

2 cubic feet of air with a 22x1.5x12" port is mine but the recomended is 1.7 cu/ft enclosure: W=12", H=1.25", L=21 port.

My Rs > https://www.ecoustics.com/electronics/forum/car-audio/189456.html

Well if u bought ur Rs new off ebay there should be a spec sheet in each box . I have mines here which i scanned but the file is too large 2 upload . Would advise 2 1st get the spec sheet then build cause u need 2 calculate it properly ......

Thrush man now thats almost too nice!!

Do you already have your box installed if so how does it sound?

And what kind of wood/s did you use?

I always thought MDF was the only thing you could use effectively for box because of sound resenance. (I cant spell)
