I'm between JBL GTO 1202D (300wrms) and Infinity Reference 1240W (300wrms). I saw the specs of two subs and they look similar. Which should i buy? Should i use sealed or ported box and if ported at what Fs tuned?

Thanks.

I have the JBL GTO 75.2 amp (290wrms bridged).

Infinity will sound better. The GTO is a loose sub with a relatively hollow sound. Not solid or tight.

Infinity is good, but me, personally, I like JBL subs.. GTO is like he said " a loose sub " BUT! with the right box * Ported * and right freq. * 30-35 * it'll out-do the infinity! I would tell you to get a Probox SuperBass for a single 12 BUT!!!! the JBL is a bigger 12" and you'll need something * Like the rubber part around the kicker to make it possible to screw in! * * the rubber part would sit underneath the jbl while you screw it in! *
