I am getting eight 12w3 v2 d2 subs, and Im looking for amps? I like JL amps but I'm not sure wich ones would be best? Could someone please help me pick out some amps please? Also how do you thing those subs will sound in my civic hatch? How hard will they hit with a box built to JL specs? Also will they be louder than my buddys two 13w7's, with two JL 1000/1 amps? Thanks

you'd need 4 JL 1000/1's to properly power thoes. 3 subs per amp, wire coils in series, then drivers in parallel for a 1.33 ohm load on each amp. shouldn't have any problems with 1.33 ohms, i've done that several times on JL amps without problems.

but why so many drivers?? it'd sound better, be cheaper and prob just as loud with fewer. why not get 13W7's?? for the cost of all thoes 12's, you could do 13W7's.

i had 1 13W7 on 2 500/1's and my car sounded way better and possible louder then a kid with 6 12W3v2's powered by a 1000/1 in the back of a navigator. punk rich kid with more money then brains.

eight might be overkill you'd be better off getting like 3 12w6v2 or 3 12w7's i'm sure you don't want to have 13w7s like your friend. you might even try 3 13w6v2 that would work w/ 3 jl 500/1 amps same w/ the 3 12w6v2 for 3 12 w7's if you want to really beat your friend you would have to go w/ 3 1000/1's
