here is a little something i have been working on this weekend.

it's gonna end up being ~4cuft after all displacements...w/ interchangable 6" external flared ports.

Upload

Building the triangle pieces was...um...interesting to say the least. (all this was done w/ a skil-saw) :-)

i'm on a slow connection...i'll upload better pics later.

yea...its for the SX and i'm gonna fill all the gaps.

in the pic it looks like there are big gaps, but that just because it got all distorted when i resized the pic.

the gaps are really small, i'm prolly gonna fiberglass them. (or if i dont feel like it, just use caulk)

well, since is only ~4cuft i doubt i'll do anywhere near 150dB. (prolly wont even be as loud as my current box...148.6db)

I just didnt have anything to do and i had an old box lieing around...so i took the baffle off and did that to it. That box is actually the first box i built for my SX15.

It would be a really nice SPL box for 2 10's or 2 12's...but i want to go bigger for my SX15. 5-6cuft...kinda like my current box but w/ the corners built like the box in the pic. I just built this one to see if i could make it work right.

As soon as i test it, i'll prolly put this box up for sell...prolly like $55+ship. (w/ 1 interchangable port)

Trevor,
I'm just gonna use 1 6" flared port...i'm gonna start building them myself. I found a few for sale online, but they were like $45 each! So i said f#ck that.

If the ports turn out nice...I may start selling them. (cheap)

Woah. Marshall if you do end up producing the ports, the first custo' will be me! I have been needing 6" flared ports for quite some time now, and hopefully this is the answer to my query...

nope i never got around to carpeting it.

i have had so many people say that are gonna buy that box...but *sigh* its still just collecting dust.

i'll sell it to ya without carpet. i dont wanna do anything extra to a box that may or maynot sell. (ya know what i mean) Its easy to carpet a box though...you could do it yourself. All you need is 3M spray glue and scissors.
