Building the triangle pieces was...um...interesting to say the least. (all this was done w/ a skil-saw) i'm on a slow connection...i'll upload better pics later. |

Gold Member Username: SouthernrebelMonroe, Louisiana USA Post Number: 2309 Registered: Mar-04 | yea...its for the SX and i'm gonna fill all the gaps. in the pic it looks like there are big gaps, but that just because it got all distorted when i resized the pic. the gaps are really small, i'm prolly gonna fiberglass them. (or if i dont feel like it, just use caulk) |

Gold Member Username: SouthernrebelMonroe, Louisiana USA Post Number: 2313 Registered: Mar-04 | well, since is only ~4cuft i doubt i'll do anywhere near 150dB. (prolly wont even be as loud as my current box...148.6db) I just didnt have anything to do and i had an old box lieing around...so i took the baffle off and did that to it. That box is actually the first box i built for my SX15. It would be a really nice SPL box for 2 10's or 2 12's...but i want to go bigger for my SX15. 5-6cuft...kinda like my current box but w/ the corners built like the box in the pic. I just built this one to see if i could make it work right. As soon as i test it, i'll prolly put this box up for sell...prolly like $55+ship. (w/ 1 interchangable port) Trevor, I'm just gonna use 1 6" flared port...i'm gonna start building them myself. I found a few for sale online, but they were like $45 each! So i said f#ck that. If the ports turn out nice...I may start selling them. (cheap) |

Silver Member Username: Biggyg9712Post Number: 242 Registered: Sep-05 | ya, thats the one im talkin about, did u ever get around to carpeting it or not? |
Silver Member Username: Biggyg9712Post Number: 244 Registered: Sep-05 | didnt bump |
Gold Member Username: SouthernrebelMonroe, Louisiana USA Post Number: 2319 Registered: Mar-04 | nope i never got around to carpeting it. i have had so many people say that are gonna buy that box...but *sigh* its still just collecting dust. i'll sell it to ya without carpet. i dont wanna do anything extra to a box that may or maynot sell. (ya know what i mean) Its easy to carpet a box though...you could do it yourself. All you need is 3M spray glue and scissors. |
Silver Member Username: Biggyg9712Post Number: 247 Registered: Sep-05 | if you could carpet it, it would be great, i could probly pay you, then you can carpet it, so it will for sure get sold, email me at greghill9712@yahoo.com if you want to deal |
