ok... i went online to his site and got a bunch of his music... stuck it in my car and played the cd for about 2 hours while i criused around... the amp got really hot and started cutting out on a couple of the tracks... than the next day after about 20 minutes or so i could smell the vC burnning up.. i turned it off and let it cool for the night... i play all my other music just fine with no issues....

what could be my issue?

i have A CDT1215 SVC 4 ohm
a kenwood KAC2702
running at 8 Gauge....

Those songs have extremely elevated bass levels, but basically it means your gain is set too high for tracks like that, you just haven't realized it until now because you haven't played such bass intensive music for that long yet. My suggestion, turn down the bass level on the headunit when listening to music like that, OR turn the gain down on ur amp just a tad.
