Please, does anybody know what is the maximum amount of load I can put on my 2000 Mustang Convertible's alternator? It's really important to me, because I'm going on a trip to San Diego... and I want to hook up a second amp. It'll be 3 30amp fuses from the 1st amp and 1 40amp fuse from the 2nd. Total of 130amp load on the alternator... can my car handle it? I looked ALL over the place on line, but can't find the specs for that year and model!!! FRUSTRATING.
Please help me out, guys.

I just don't want to have problems on the road over some dumb s,h,i,t. I appreciate it alot!

Thanks.

It appears the '00's have 130A alts.

There's no way to give you a certain answer on this. A lot of it has to do with your listening habits and music type, but in general I would expect 1500w or so to run w/o problems.

There was a post recently, however, of someone struggling with 400w in a similar car.
