Is there a significant audiable improvement when using an aperiodic enclosure over sealed?

Im currently running 2 ID Max 12's in a ported box @28hz with around 750W each. Its redicliously loud and Im looking at going to a completely sq set up.

I just bought another one.. just because... And I was thinking about making an aperiodic enclosure for the 3.

more detail, better driver control, eliminates 2nd and 3rd order harmonics. drawback is reduced power handling with high poer subs, and -3dB compared to a sealed box due to having the breathe through the membrane.

Or you could maintain the accentuated response and powerhandling by placing the membrane behind the driver. Wouldn't eliminate the harmonics though.

The decrease in output isn't a real bother for me seeing as I have 3 which should allow plenty of headroom.

I was considering each in an ~0.5 cuft enclosure but have each inverted (magnet facing back seat and the membrane sealed into the trunk)? would this work?

Can anyone recomend an amp that'll put out around 1500 watts at ~1 ohm. The zapco 9.0 is a little to expensive and the Arc and DLS's only goes to around 1000w. I was thinking of maybe HCCA 275G4?..any other suggestions?

If you invert the sub (and still place the membrane over the cone) the 2nd and 3rd order harmonics will still be present. Your response and subsequent sq will still be realized, however. The amp depends on your budget. the ED nine.1 puts out 14-1500 watts @1ohm and 14.4 volts. 350.00

In case you don't already have them:

The latter example here is how to successfully eliminate the harmonics while inverting.
