I have 1 12" Infinity sub (1240W) that says it runs at 300 RMS at 4ohms. What kind of amp do I need? I'm thinking about getting a Infinity 7520A 2 channel and running it bridged at 283 RMS. Is this a good idea?? I really have no clue.

Thanks,

Joel

To be honest I don't know what you mean.

This is the amp I'm thinking about:

This is the sub I own:

Does that help?

see i was looking at that but

Continuous Power Output @ 4Ohms Bridged: 283 Watts (rms) x 2

If it where bridged it should be 283 Watts (rms) x 1 not 2

But it may be a typo

I saw the X2 also but I didn't know if it means 283*2 so like 566 or something else. They all say X2 and I'm not really sure that what is.

I looked on some other websites and they say:

Bridged RMS Power @ 4 Ohms: 283W x 1 @ 14.4V

and that it is stable bridged at 4 Ohms

as far as I can tell I can't find anywhere else that says it is X2
