trevor i noticed that the fs on the mag 12 is 30.2. does that mean the sub will have a hard time playing anything below that?

the fs on my 12s tsx were 29.2 and it got plenty lowww, so 30.2 should get just as low Im thinking.
the fs on my 15s are 18.3, maybe thats why its like an earthquake.

For the most part the Stereo Integrity, not Sound Integrity, is good on output until 20hz where it starts to cut off output. I used a test tone track and was able to have the sub stay controlled to where my CD stopped at which was 5hz.

And B which sub do you have as you are one of the few who are actually happy with them. Most other forums abhor the Treo subs like the SSx and CSx. I will definitely need to hear them again.

go check em out again Alteraudio. I have the 15 TSXs, I think they sound great, and they get insanely loud & low! The TSX is just the small brother of SSX. Both SX models are desined to get LOUD and maintain their SQ. The Tsx gets just as loud as the SSI. The Tsx is also uses the same technology from the CSX and SSX. From what Ive heard no one has ever had a complaint about the Treo. Its acutally allways being compared with DD sub quality. Ive read plenty topics of Treo vs DD vs Re; Ill stick with my TREOS.

maybe I can meet you in charlotte one day and really let you hear em, Ill have some extra ear plugs for you. I dont think you will hear em quite as good in the store as in my car.

the Fs rating on a sub isnt quite as important as i once thought it was. notice the new arsenal 15 fs is 23hz and the old ava was 15.7 and the lows are suposed to suceed the old driver. i think the fs on the 15 SE was 22 and the lows were not at all like my ava. by reading what SI write about the Mags, they will drop extremely low, and with 3 inch P2P excursion, you will definetly feel it 8)

A low Fs is for a low tuned ported box. My box is tuned to 27hz. In sealed boxes you will have to worry more about Fb not Fs.
Fs is the frequency that excites the sub the most in free air.

What Fs is "better" really depends a lot on the application. Fs is a factor in low frequency extension, but so is Qes/Qts. So both Qes and Qts most also be looked at too.
