I have two type Rs in a vented box and they get very loud but its mostly boomy and tons of vibrations that makes everything shake. Would I get deeper pounding bass If I put them in a seal box ? I got tired of all the boominess.
i don't know about deeper but it will sound much better. i used to have those and i tried both ported and sealed. i like the sound of sealed better. also your box is probably tuned high if you are not getting low bass.
when i had the type Rs in a ported box, the box was tuned to 33hz and the subsonic was set at 30. it got pretty low and sounded loud too. after i changed it to sealed it just sounded much cleaner and i liked it alot more. it still got loud but not as loud as when it was in a ported.
