okay yesterday i was taking out my friends HU. its a kenwood double din dvd. and the car was off and i started undoing all the wires (grounds, powers, ignition, remote turn on, RCAs... when all of a sudden i hear fuzziness coming form the tweeters. i was like wth? i dont understand why this would happen. now when the volume is on zero it makes a light fuzzy sound. im afriad when the volume is turned up it may cause damage to the speakers even though you cant hear it anymore when the volume is turned up. im giong to instal my alpine HU i have laying around andsee if that fixes it... next if it doesnt i'll try my kicker kx150.2 in place of his sx400.2 and see if that fixes it... if it doesnt its going to drive me nuts!
