Gold Member Username: TheelfkeeperStockbridge, GA USA Post Number: 1003 Registered: Feb-05 | go ahead and rule out the kenwood and clarion. haven't heard much good about either brand and clarion always seems to be behind in technology. pioneer is great and the alpine is great. just gotta choose which one you like best. the alpine has a good graphic eq and i think it has d-loadable backgrounds you can put on cd then load on the unit. not totally sure though. the external screen is really nice, if you don't have one then you have to have the thing open all the time or you have no idea what you are doing. just something you might not of thought of when looking for in dash dvd units. |

Gold Member Username: TjmutlowPost Number: 1416 Registered: Sep-05 | I would wait for the new lines. the pioneer has some neat stuff, and the new navi systems also have some kind of inteli navi, it can learn different routes and store them in memory, the Avic-Z1 is probably going to be their 06 flagship piece. and the N3 has MSRP of $1800, so you be able to find it probably pretty cheap. |
