this question has been asked before and a lot of people disagree with each other, IMO i like the cvr more, i think it has better sq and gets just as loud as the type r, but i would consider the RE se also, cause if its anything like the atlas it will dominate both the cvr and type r in spl and sq.

I am planning to buy either 2 12" R's or 2 12" CVR's to go with my 15" L5 I am leaning tward the CVR because they are kicker but I want the better one.

don't even waste your time with the L5, its the biggest POS ever, the cvr will get just as loud and will have A LOT better sq. or you could just get one cvx, chauncey seems to like them so they must be good.

Hey guys. I just put 2 Kicker 12" CompVr's in my truck and they hit incredible. I'd definitely recommend them to anybody wanting crisp and loud bass. They came in a ported box which was great, but I put them in my custom sealed box. Even in the sealed box they hit way harder than the Phoenix Golds i had. Right now I'm running around 700 Watts to them both combined and they show no signs in stopping.

Also if any of you guys are in need of a Kicker Ported Enclosure that they sell with the CompVR's let me know cuz I've gotta sell it.
