no warranty through JL on any products bought online. Some companies offer there own warranties but JL will not honor the purchase unless it is through a JL authorized dealer.

well if you want new 15's there is only one kind left right now which is the w3v2 15" and who knows how much longer they will be around. If i were you i would check some jl dealers around your area and see if they are running any specials on those b/c they are essentially being discontinued you might be able to get a good deal on them that way.

So this 15 is the same as the JL audio? If not, is it still a good 15 to have?

I would suggest getting something other than JL. I have had a lot of experiance with them and they are very very nice subs don't get me wrong. Just from what I have noticed, they are a little too exspensive considering how they sound. I have heard better for cheaper.

Remember that MSRP is NOT a set price or a requirement for the profitability of a dealer. The reason JLs prices are "high" is because of the DEALER markup. The good thing is that this gives you room to negotiate. You can fuss about JL being "overpriced" all you want to, once I start posting MSRPs of some of their competitors, you'll tell me to go to Joe Smoes internet retail site for a cheaper price. The difference between JL and most other companies is that they don't authorize internet sales, which means you're going to have to learn to work with people face to face. An authorized dealer is no different than an internet retailer in the fact that they all want to make money. Nobody tears their doors down to buy a bunch of subwoofers, and most dealers will be more than willing to sell you something if they get something out of it.

Personally, I feel JLs prices are very fair for what you get. Those that don't understand or pay attention to the design and build of these drivers will scoff and insert the current b0ner of the month.

Chauncey, did you mean that Parts Express sells re? I don't see it. Also, I have found another supposed JL alternative. Here:http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem%26item%3D5797523079&ssPageName=MER C_VIC_RSCC_Pr12_PcY_BIN_Stores_IT.
Which are the right ones?
