yes you will have plenty of bass. I hope you have a HO alternator. Thats a whole lot of power to be running on a stock elecrtical system.

i called jl audio and they said that the rockford fosgate 2000bd is not a pure 2000 cause you need 14.4 volts to get that.they said when i had that connected to the jls i was only gettin 1000 watts from that amp.tahst why i sold it and went with the jl amp cause they said at any voltage im gonna get a real 1000 watts.thats why im buggin lol

well they are right about the overrating of the RF amp. The JL amp is a very very nice amp, I have seen many people run a 1000/1 to 2 w6v2's so you will be on the lesser power side but it will be fine. for the less power you are going to be making it up in surface area.

That is wh I like Kicker's amps, they rate it at a real world 13.8 volts, even though my elec system reas anywhere from 14.7 to 13.8. Polo

:-/ I have the Kx 2500.1 on a pair of RE SX 12s... Love it... But really... you need a h/o alternator for a 2500.1 because they love to drain your bat and stock alt. Get at least a 200 amp one... I'd go witha 300.

If you would have kept the 2000bd and upgraded your alt you would be in a much better position.
On average that amp puts out 2900 watts RMS. So lets say your electrical system was puttin out less than 14.4 you would still have maybe 2000 watts rms, in now way would a 3000 watt rms amp be puttin out 1000 if at one ohm. Now even with a new alt the most power you will be gettin is 1000-1300 instead of 2500-3000
