What pair of 12's would be louder than an RE SX 15", for around 300, and still have good sq?

the 2 12s will have more surface area than the 15; so it will move more air making it alittle louder.
But I would just pick the 15 and power it nicely.

The trunk is about 17" high in my mustang... So I could fit the sub, but probably not the big, ported box. Or should I just got with the 15, make a big box, and take out the back seat for the while that I put the box in?

why not get 2 12 se's??? that would get loud, have nice sq, and not take up tons of room

What would that cost me, and how would that compare to a SX?

i believe there around 170-200 shipped, if u feed each se 700-800 rms it would beat an sx in spl and sq

That sounds pretty good. In your personal opinion, would this be your choics in a pair of 12's if you have an extra 400 bucks?

i would go alpine type r's or kicker cvr's, neither of which will even compare to the se's, but they both will get loud and maintain nice sq

Cvr's are around 200 for the pair on ebay

R's are around 220 for the pair on ebay

I think somebody ordered an se a couple of weeks ago(not sure)

and it depends on what u want but in most cases 2 12 se's would get louder and sound better than 1 15 sx..

I have seen people run 1200+rms to an sx and it sounded like it could take more, so if u prefer 1 sub then i would go sx. But one of my friends has 2 12's se in a sealed box with a AutoTek Stealth XS-1600X(or something like that) each se is getting around 800 rms and they take it like champs.
