iam makin a 4.5 cuft box an i wanna now what port will b better 2 use 2 get the best should i go with the circle port/tube or the slot port it will b tuned @ 32hz an wit the circle port u can change diffrent hz tunes
biggest i can go is 4.5 cause iam goin 2 b puttin the box in from the insid eof the car threw the trunk cause i had my dad cut out around the bac seat metal frame an its 16h 34w 18d or i can go 19 or more but wat will slam more a slot port or a tube port an just gussin marshall i no u wont no but how many db u think it will hit wit 1 re 12.1 an the 15 sx an whole car in sound dampin high 140s port tuned at 32hz i go can go more deeper if i want
16"x34"x19" external measurements w/ 3/4" mdf would be 4.77cuft internal.
try 3 4" pvc ports 20.8" long. the box will work out to roughly 4.15cuft after all displacments. (2 4" ports, 11.8" long will work too...but you may get some port noise w/ only 2)
^^^this will tune the box to 32hz^^^
you may be able to do ~140dB w/ this box...but then again, maybe not. when you tune low like this you dont get huge spl gains like you would if you tune the box to peak at the vehicles res. freq. (ex...i so ~140 w/ my daily port in, but when i put my 46hz port in i gain 8db+ for spl comps)
ill go 16h 34w 21d an tune it at 32hz wit 2 4inch ports an i can change the ports from 26hz-----how high i want so u think it will b go0d so ill have changable ports an should i place the ports 1 on each side at the bottom right by the wall an what ports r better tube or slot u should get on aim an aim me @ SHADYLIMITEDX
marshall how didi u get ur cars fre. did u use a seald box an get ur loudess hz an tune ur box 5hz lower than that cause iam goni 2 make the box i said above an make alot of ports outa pvc pipe so ill have all kinds of diffrent tunes an that will b sweet thankx 4 ur help
