I have 2 15" solo L5's that can be put in a 3-6 cubic foot box each and I plan to make my own but I have no idea what size to port them or how to tune them or what tunning even means.

Mitchell...try 4-4.5cuft tuned to 35hz w/ ~50sq inches of port per sub.

if you need some to design you a ported box and draw a cut-for-cut diagram...i will do it for ya for $10. just give me your max diminsions for your vehicle and i'll set you up.
