I just figured I would try something new. I figure with everyone asking the same questions about the same subs all day maybe I should try to start a scale judgeing from 1-10 and if it is more twards SPL or SQ. If you would like to get your sub/s publicly rated to see what the general population really thinks of youre sub/s.

LMAO @ Jonathan!

2 12" Ascendant Audio Assassins (IMO) SPL = 7 SQ = 9

Although, their loudness may not be enough for some, but when I can't even hear the mids and highs from my speakers except for some garbled noise from too much bass from the subs, it's plenty for me.

MTX 5500- spl=6 SQ=7
MTX 4500- spl=4 SQ=7

CVR- spl=8 SQ=7
Infinity Reference- spl=6 SQ=7
Sony Xplod (older model, not the 5 sided one) spl=6 SQ=4 (these suprised me. They were my first subs and they actually didn't "suck")

RE re- spl=9 SQ=7 (my current subs, sound pretty good and are highly efficient)
Polks (don't know models)- spl=7 SQ=7 (suprised me)
L5- spl=9 SQ=3
L7- spl=9.5 SQ=2
Mtx 7500- spl=8 sq=8
Fosgate Punch 1- spl=4 SQ=7

they are

like B said this is an opinionated thread, because when u think about it if a IDMAX and w6v2 has 9 sq, there is no way a type S is an 8??

But thats what i like about this forum everybody has there own opinion

by the way, reason I posted an Alpine Type S as an 8 SQ wise is, it is one of the best SQ subs I have heard. I have never heard ANY JL audio, ID, Adire, etc.
