RCA line converter for amp

My girlfriend has a new 2006 Honda Civic and if any of you guys ever seen the dash on that thing, the stock CD player should stay in. So, i'm guessing the best solution to this would be to get a RCA line converter? She's looking to add an amp to power a sub and front components.

Do line converters degrade the sound quality much? are there certain brands of line converters that I should be looking at? or are they all essentially the same?

any help is appreciated, Thanks

yeah the jl cleansweep things look very nice if you have a stock radio, better than getting a krappy rca inverter from meijers at 2 am in the morning.......

you can save yourself a ton of money and get an excellent quality LOC at www.davidnavone.com. Considered by some to be the best LOC's available.
