I am installing a JL audio 10w6v2 sub in my car. At this point I think one 10 inch sub will be plenty for the bass I want. I am currently looking at a kicker kx600.1 amp and a kicker kx400.1 amp. My question is in regards to this decision. The sub states that it can handle apprx 400 to 500 watts. The kicker 600.1 amp puts out close to 700 watts and the 400.1 puts out close to 500 watts. Should I buy the kx400.1 and have enough power for the sub or should I buy the 600.1 and plan for possible expansion?
the 600 if it is putting out max at 2ohms, also the voltage has to be 14.4 volts to see that power, youll be alright if that amp is 2ohm stable(for most power)
