Help with bass car amp

Hi all- I found this in the trash and want to know what it is, how to test it, etc. It appears to be a bass car amp. Says on front - American Bass HP 2600 660W RMS. Has places for speaker wires and has fuses and gain controls and such. I am posting a link to my picture and would appreciate any info any of you can give me. Especially how to test it since I can't hook it up in my car. Looks like it would work off a 6 or 12 volt battery.

Get a 12v power supply/battery and hook it up to the amp. The ground is negative, red is positive, and remote wire goes to positive. If you see the power lights on the amp, then it's good for the next stage.
Get a portable cd player and attach it to the amp's rca input. Adjust the gain/level to match the input voltage.
Set the volume to low and hook up a speaker to the output terminals. If you get sound, then the amp is good.

Not much, maybe around $140.
