i started a thread a week or two ago about my cone rattling. i was told it may have been the face of the box flexing, the wires inside the box sticking to the magnet, too small of a box, etc.

i just took my sub out of the box and turned up my HU. it made the same rattling, and it sounds like it's comming from something right above the magnet inside the housing. don't know what that stuff is called. what should i do?? get it checked out?? it's only when it's turned up loud that i get this rattling.

maybe your spider is coming loose? that might cause it. the voice coil may be starting to go bad as well

it's a 15" mtx9500.

if the spider is comming lose, is it basically just shot? same with the voice coil?

if the spider is coming loos which is that springy thing underneath the cone by the magnet then a number of things could have caused it
