Basically you have to look at your budget, Space available for everything, your not gonna fit a 7 cubic foot box in a miata. How loud you want it to be, If you want some serious SPL are you prepared to drop money on a new Alternator, battery, wiring, and maybe a capacitor or two. If you want high output subs your gonna need some powerful high quality amps to drive them. Some poeple go around sayin how there gonna hook up a few MT's in there car i just laugh cuz they dont know complex it is and they think its simple. Its not as simple as "what is the best subwoofer out there"

I have to agree with the DD 9917 for SPL purposes, badass subs. SQ, I prefer the ID Max and the JL Audio W6v2.

if you want spl heres what you do, search the internet day and night untill you find a shocker neo-sig thats for sale, buy it, then buy a lot of amps that total between 5000-6000 watts, put the neo-sig in a bigass ported box, hook everything up and prepare to go deaf in a few seconds.

Andre dont even look at RF if ur lookin 4 great car audio, equipment, search online and see how much u can find an Eclipse Ti Pro for and get it, if thats 2 much wait for the new XXX's, or AA's new line. Kinda reminds me a little of myself (wit the money.lol)

If you have 1500 to spend on subs, then why the T2's. You don't think the T3's are better?

And Penola, you know where you can get a pair of RF Team RF subs.

"I think The RF T2 power statge 2 are the best subs out there"

RF's stuff has gone to sh1t. My Eclipse Tis pounded the sh1t out of a set of T3's just last night... And if you want some seriouse bass, go for the Eclipse Ti Pro. But remember, you need to juice 'em up with tons of power...

andre, my friend has two 15' T2s and 2 1500bd amps. its loud but has very low SQ.

i have two alpine type Xs and they are somewhat loud, not as loud as the T2s, but have very good sq. plus they are ALOT cheaper.

Eclipse Tis are very good subs and so are RE SXs i would get them over both the Type X and T2.

treo SSi is another sub to look at.

hey jonathan you have the id max's so i have a question how much better are they than 2 12 w6v2s for pure sq because i am most likely gonna get the w6 but just wanted your point of view

Yeah, I didn't know what I was talking about last night. Looked it up today and I was thinking the P3's. I don't know why I thought that RF made T3's. But, I did find a Team RF sub on eBay today. I used to be a straight up RF fan but I heard some P3's and they sucked.

W6v2 and ID Max are on pretty equal terms for SQ. With low power and all around SQ, I'd probably take the W6v2 if I did it again. ID Max gets louder, though.

I've always loved JLs subs, the W6v2 is tonally very similar to a W7. Not as loud, but overall I feel it's a bit cleaner and tighter than a W7 is. Very smooth and dynamic, sweet subs.

I love my ID Max, too.
