I have the 2 RE re's in a 1.25 cubic foot per chamber sealed box. I need to get the subs replaced because they are leaking major air. I think I am fairly disappointed I might say in the SQ of them. Maybe it is the air noise/leak. Are they supposed to be very SQ oriented? The overall output of them is awesome. They do have SQ comparable to kickers round subs which isn't bad by any means but still sound muddy on quite a few songs. For overall SQL and price is a factor to, powered with 225-250rms per sub is it a better deal for 2 RE12's or 2IDQ12's. IDQ's are about 100-150 MORE which I don't like about that. What could be the problem why I am not impressed with the SQ? Any suggestions let me know. Thanks

if your leaking air, it is not the subs, but the enclosure. pull the subs out and re silicone all the edges of that box.
