I currently have my sub facing upwards in the trunk of my car. This was because the opening to the trunk of the mustang was an extremely tight fit. I was wondering if I should get a new enclosure so the sub faces the back the way it is supposed to be, so that it hits harder. I'm running a Infinity 1040 12" 350watt 1040peak with a cheap 1000watt crunch amp and pioneer deck. Yea I'm a poor college student =( so I'm trying to get the most out of the 200bucks I've spent on my sound system. Thanks for the input guys.

If u just have to keep the same system buy a vented enclosure. Then save up enough money for a better amp cuz the one u have is not putting out the power the sub needs.

What amps do you guys recommend on pushing the Infinity Reference 1040W or any single 12" sub with a 250-300watt 1000watt max sub

A friend of mine has an extra 250watt mtx amp and a 12" bazooka sub. Both of those would be considered a downgrade compared to my current system right?
