There the same...sealed is just a sub in a sealed box

the differences will be the type of sound, like if you want bass or the loudness and clarity, sealed box will (i think) make more bass, corect me if im wrong, and a ported is for clarity and loudness... not sure if its siwtched or not...

Ported boxes produce more SPL, while sealed boxes have higher SQ.

nolimitsoldier...you have them sort of mixed up and some just wrong. lol. With a sealed box it is a more punch accurate bass note. While with a ported box it is louder while still being accurate, if you can build a box. If you want clarity sealed is the way to go, with most subs.

yea my friend builds them and stuff, i have no clue what so ever... lol i thought i heard him say that but i guess i was wrong... lol
