Would this step up work?

I plan on buying 3 12w6v2 and pushed them with a Kicker 04KX1200.1. What do you guys think? would there be any other amps that would push them subs?

the only way to wire them would be to 2.67ohms and that will not get full power out of a 1200.1

Can't you get the W6V2's in dual 2 ohm? Or are they only avaliable in dual 4 ohm? If you can get dual 2 ohm you can wire them in series and 3 of them will make a 1.33 ohm load that would be perfect for the 1200.1.

Thanks for the info. How or would it work 3 W6 the old ones and a 1\1000?

Just fine, you can go 4 ohm (series) or 1 ohm (parallel) with a trilogy of old W6's. The 1/1000 will support a load between 8 and 1 ohms so it will be fine, I would recommend the series wiring and run the amp at 4 ohm.

The JL 1000/1 will go down to 1.4 ohms not 1, sorry BT.lol9
