Subs 2 ohm or 4 ohm?

hello,

i am quite confused right now.

i want to get 2 12 inch subs and i dont know the right ohm etc. to get.

My specs on my amp are:

2 ohm stable-

200 watts RMS x 2 at 4 ohms
400 watts RMS x 2 at 2 ohms
800 watts RMS x 1 at 4 ohms
stereo or bridged mono output

i am thinking about getting 2 comp vrs putting 400 watts rms into each sub.

so would i get (2) dual 2 ohm subs or (2) dual 4 ohm subs??

everyone has been telling me to get dual 4 ohm subs and then wire the voice coils in series and the subs in parallel... putting a 4 ohm load on my amp which is better than a 2 ohm load.

but then this site said this...

www.bcae1.com

Dual Voice Coil Woofers:
Dual Voice Coil (DVC) woofers are simply speakers with two voice coils wrapped around the same voice coil former. This allows the speaker to be connected in 2 different ways. With the individual coils wired in series, the resulting impedance will be 2 times the impedance of each individual coil. Wiring the coils in parallel will make the impedance 1/2 the impedance of each individual coil. This means that a speaker with dual 4 ohm coils can be wired to 2 ohms or 8 ohms.

just tell me what subs to get and what load that would put on my amplifier.

Help is deeply needed...

doesn't matter if a sub is 2ohms 500w or 4 ohms 500w - different VC config are used to match your amp's output/capabilities .

From your description just do as i told u above ...
