I've got a couple of small car amps that have what looks like a small transformer on the +12v supply line in the amplifier. I don't think it is a transformer because it only has 2 leads. I was told it may be a choke coil to filter out spikes in the 12v when the amp is first turned on. Anybody familiar with this topic?
