i currently upgraded my hu from a pioneer deh-p770 to an alpine cda-9855. my sub power has gone down dramatically. what could be the problem behind this. thanks

alpine has relatively low sub outs. set the sub volume at least 11. also, i'm not certain about the 55, but if its like my 9835, it may just have a 5 band eq as opposed to the traditional bass/treble controls that might be available on the pioneer. you would have to set this also.
