I just bought a system for my honda civic and I wanted a good thump in the trunk. I got two 12' JL audio woofers in a powerwedge box. I also got a new head unit and all new speakers. Now the subs overpower everything. How far should I go down so that the subs will still sound good and be able to hear my misic inside the car. is two 10' still to much...what about 1 12'

adjust the gains or the HU outputs for the mids/highs and the subs. also if your mids and highs aren't externally amplified you might wanna look into an amp for them

you should definately either get front components and amp them. or you could get a 4 ch amp for all the mids and highs. if the subs are too loud turn down the gains either bass gain on the HU or if your HU has it turn down the sub level.
