Let me know before auctions end. I think isaac was saying that it wasnt possible to get 1000 watts @ 4 ohm with a 60A fuse. What do you think about this amp?

maxi fuses can take a higher current flow than their rating for a short period of time...if i'm not mistaken, a 60A and survive 120A for about 30sec.

60A x 12.5v = 750w.
60A x 13.5v = 810w
60A x 14.4v = 864w
60A x 18.0v = 1080w
Now since it's class AB, you subtract the efficieny factor.
1000w / 12.5v * 1.4 = 112A
Mathematically impossible with 60A fuse.

Yea, but then that's not continous power, more like a peak.

MO, any way you look at it, that is still a great amp. Don't overpay it cause of the hype. It might go higher than $400 the way it looks now.
Think about how much a Zapco would cost. $500 - $600 range, and you're in the Zapco quality.

Isaac ive decided im not gonna bid on that. Its way hyped and expensize for a old school amp like that. You never know what could happen one month from now.

Im looking at another a600.2 now and will go for that one. Hopefully this time with better luck

I'm letting the morons overbid on that item too.
FYI, JL's 1000w amp comes with 100A fuse, and that's class D.

Hey Isaac they are gonna be powering my CDT HD62 set which is 180 x 2 @ 4 ohm

a600.2 - 150 x 2 @ 4 ohm

I cant wait cause right now i have a a300.2 powering the set and the midbass is lacking so this a600 should do the trick

Isaac how come i shouldnt power subs even though im not in this case ?

Well, that'd be like using a Porsche Turbo to go grocery shopping. Not what it was designed to do.
