New alternator for 2 500 rms amps?

do you think 2 500 rms class d amps will cause to have a new higher amp alternator? or do you think it will be alright. would it be better to get just one 1000 rms class d amp instead? which would need less amps from the battery 2 500 rms amps or one 1000 watt amp?

1000 watts is the same no matter which way you cut it.
Now as for the alternator, that you'll only know once ya get the system in.
if the lights dim, or voltage drops when teh system is on, yes, you need a bigger alternator, or you need to turn the volume down.
If you don't experience any troubles, you're probably fine.

for 1Kwatt, 4AWG should be fine unless you have some reason to need over 20ft of cable from battery to amps.

do you think it would be smart to run a switch for each amp so if it is too much than i could just switch one of the amps off until i get a higher amp alternator?

it's easier to just take the in-line fuse out of the holder.
accomplishes the same thing with less work.
