so it is safe to say that they are in separate chambers.
phase one of them the other way. i mean to say wire it opposite so they have a "push"-"pull" type play to them.

ok this is the problem i'll describe it as well as i can, i have a 1200 watt amp with two 12inch audiobahn AW1251T woofers in seperate sealed enclosures. they woofers play perfectly when not in the boxes. when i screw in one woofer into it's box it sounds good really loud bass. so while the second woofer is working i put in it's box but as soon as it's in the box the bass goes away and i can see the woofers playing at exactly the same level as they were before they were in the box . so when one is in the box it sounds good but when both are in the box all i can hear is the sound the woofer is making. picture this ur woofers are playing, u can see the excursion but u cant hear bass. and thats the problem i have.
Sounds like one woofer is wired 180 degrees out of phase with from the other. Try the same thing you mentioned above but, on ONE sub, reverse your speaker wirres going to the sub. (Swap the + & - connections).
