Anyone everheard of one of these? I don't quite exactly know what one is... but I overheard my buddy who owns Dynamic Auto Sounds (Shop) talking to someone and they said they had an eppicenter or something like that hooked up to their system, and it already got loud, but I guess the other day he found out how to use it and I guess it got CRAZY loud.

Hmm...Any Ideas?

i would sooner go with the epic 160. better tuning capabilities and a fun spl meter (if you're into such things).
i've known people to blow their subs though using the epicenter.

in my opinion an amplifier stacks the wave length..
double the wave length and space it creating increased output
the bigger the gap the more spl (airpressure you feel)(more point to point xmax)
tight stacks equals sq

the epicenter adds spl spaced stacks

hold your hand in front of the tv and shake it real fast

thatll give you an example
if you watch a sub on realm of excursion you can get the same idea from the trick of the camera

those gaps inbetween your fingers is the recipe to spl.. the bigger the gap between your finger shadows the more full point to point xmax

pioneer has retarded their amps (increased gap) for years (maybe since the beginning)
thats why they have that distinct dull soundfield

i havent heard a pioneer radio in about 5 years so with the newer models you might not have to turn the treble up
with the old models you can tell the bass gaps were so bad because when you turned the treble up it could only affect the upper half of the tweeter range

i hope that gives you an example right in front of you to look at
