Muddy I went up there today. The subs are the TSX. So they are rated at 400rms.. Would they be able to take 500-600 rms? They want to sell me 1 TSX for 150, so both of them for 300, plus 20$ tax?
Is that price tooo high??
Or is it good price?

What do you think they will sound like on a Memphis 1000.1 ?
They were dual 4ohms.

Should I wait on the SSI?
Is it goin to be a bigg difference?
Memphis makes a sub close to the TSX its called the M3 its rated @ 400rms. But the local treo dealer can give me 3month warranty/exchange

that is a very good price on the TSX.

i wouldn't give it any more than 500wRMS, but even if you hooked them up to a 2,000wRMS amplifier, you can always stop turning up the volume when they start to sound distorted. that's why i prefer headroom, over underpowering.

they should get very loud for the amount of watts you will be giving them, they are Treo's. lol

you will notice a big difference in the TSX and SSi, but they are for two different purposes.
the TSX focuses on more SQ than any of their other drivers, but that is not to say they don't get loud, once again, they are Treo's.:-O

i would choose Treo over Memphis any day of the week, and twice even if you had a gun to my head. well naybe not then, but you get the picture.

if you are installing them yourself, then you get a 3 month warranty.
if you have them install it, you get a 3 YEAR warranty. so its up to you.

if you want good SQ, go with the TSX, b/c you will get more output with 2 of those than with 1 SSi, and they will sound a little better IMO.

hope that helps.

Thanks muddy.
So I am now leaning towards the TSX
Maybe in a week or so.

Please enlighten me some more....

I was previously running 2 Memphis 15mc124d MCLASS subs rated @ 200rms each. And those got damn loud!! Thats their lowest model sub. I was running off of a prd 1000.1 !!

What can I really expect from those 2 TSX? could I say twice as loud as the old ones? I want it damn LOUD!

The old subs got loud to a certain point, but never got too much louder when I gave more vol. I was thinkin the RMS rating did that.

I still need to get a HO alternator.
But when I get these new subs I will not turn them up till then!

The guy said it was a bada$$ sub! I hope to have them play it for me this week.

The 2 TSX will be in a ported enclosure! And Yeah, I want real good SQ. But more toward SQL

How many DBs do you think I can hit? with this setup? approx?

"The old subs got loud to a certain point, but never got too much louder when I gave more vol. I was thinkin the RMS rating did that."

that has more to do with how much more excursion the subs have to play with, with a certain amount of power. the TSX's will be very loud. they are great subs.
all of the Treo subs have huge magnets for their power handling. it has more to do with voice coil control.
