Ya, My teammate threw together the system for a local show. He used an Immortal 12" and 1 mmats 2500watt amp.
Yes, this was done on the TermLab.
152.3 with one sub in a stock set up. In other words there is no wall, all the equipment can only be in the trunk, and bellow the bottom of the window lines. Another words a basic stock set up.
Pretty impressive number with no testing either.
(btw, that would be about a 156-157 on an a/c mic)

"damn thats pretty crazy especially for an audioburn sub....."

Audiobahn makes loud subs. That's something no one can really argue. Their downfall is sacraficing build quality for cosmetics.

If my memory serves me correctly the Immortal sub was manufactured by a very reputable company, though I can't remember who it was.

isn't outlaw where you can place the mic wherever you'd like, and the car isn't sealed.

and what is a rex?

nice # btw

i mean we all know that audiobahn makes loud subs but when you have XXXs and Avalanches getting in the low to mid 140s that 152.3 is still pretty nice even if its an spl subwoofer

rex= is a common nickname for Honda's CRX.

Outlaw= a door may be opened, but the mic is to only be placed in the front lower kick panel or on the dash in the legal position.

Outlaw is nothing more than a phrase coined by USACi.

The format that allows the mic to be placed anywhere is called port wars.

Dave Richer says,
"Audiobahn makes loud subs. That's something no one can really argue. Their downfall is sacraficing build quality for cosmetics."

I can agree to that!

it does seem a little sketchy.
i know a guy who has two 12" subs fiberglassed right behind his seats in his hatch, with a total of 4kw RMS, and he hits 152 on a TL.

one sub, 2500wRMS, and he hits the same?
i don't doubt it is possible:-), but that seems like a stretch.

but you guys have to think here...just about ANYTHING is possible in a rex. they are practically made for SPL.

i have seen 10's (single 10's) do dam near 150dB in rex's.

i dont doubt that # one bit.

i highly doubt they are made for SPL lol... i can see it now... honda commercial: fuel economy shmule economy... your SPL numbers mean just as much to us as they do to you. thats why we bring you the new 2006 CRX equipped with 2 inch plexiglass windshields and 500sqft of dynamat with an optional twin 300A alternator!

Great numbers zac. I knew good spl could be done with them its just the build quality i didnt like outta my quad 2 ohm immortal 12 I had. I mean if a pyramid superblue 15 can do 145 db on 600 rms a immortal 12 can do 152 on 2500 rms.

Ok Oso, call whatever you want.lol Its not like 152 is all that loud anyways. My competition car is twice as loud as that, literally.

are you kidding me?
152 is extremely loud.

in fact, most people don't even like to sit in cars that hit 150+.
they say it hurts their ears.

Thank you muddy, your close.

Mike,
A 10db gain is considered to be "twice as loud"

However twice the power/wattage will only get you a 3db gain

hey zac...

just how much can duct tape really help spl :-)

oh...and to tell the truth, if your used to high spl (hearing going out...lol) 150dB+ really isnt that bad...you just dont wanna stay in the car all that loud. burps are fine though. (but then again, the average joe would prolly $hit themselves if they sat in a 150db+ @ ~40hz car...lol)

that car is a green 300ZX.
it has 2 Treo SSX 12" subs rated at 2000wRMS a peice. each has a USA 2000x on it, and as you can see they are fiberglassed in the hatch as so.
that car is so friggin rediculously loud, i love it.:-)

it also has 2 Eclipse somethin coaxials in each door with a US Amps 600wRMS(don't know the model no.) running them. that car is balls out loud. it hits 152db at 44hz legal.:-O

Yeah, your right, i know nothing about SPL. I'm just makin this stuff up.

I mean, i've never broken 11 state records, 2 world records, or currently a world champion?, so, i guess coming in on ecoustics forum to make up stories will have to do for me.

not really Jake, but I do take it a little bit personally. I have no reason to lie.
I'm not one to toot his own horn, but, it seems in this this case you might have a better chance of believing this Audiobahn sub is capable of doing that number if you knew a little bit more about the person telling you all this, so if me being the current World Champion in Super Stock Usaci, the current World Record holder for 0-1000 Pro Stock, and over a dozen state records...Maybe then you will believe the Audiobahn is capable of that number.

(again, sorry for sounding a little braggish, that was not my intention at all, just wanted to give some perspective to those who didnt believe me that the ab did a 152, not really that big of a deal though)

HI zac, here in italy is ok, im workin on a new project of a new enclosure for my Immortal. Im using BassBox 6 Pro. I made a mistake with the last one i did, it was 50 liters net volume but the ports where accorded at 75Hz (ops, my bad) so now im tryin to change the box volume and imma use just 1 port diameter 6,5"...we'll see what's gonna happen. Then i changed the power cable and now i use a AWG 00 (i think that's 70mm2). And btw i changed car lol, i dont have the eclipse nomore, i got a seat leon, it's a hatchback pretty well built. I dont know how much is the cabin gain but im tryin to figure it out. I know the distance from the position of the term lab sensor and the sub is 2,5meter....so now let's make some formulas :-). Im still using the A2300HCT (it's still 2x1200RMS) if it's not enough i'll see, maybe i'll get a A5000SPL. OK talk to u soon :-)
