Silver Member Username: Tdeaton1021Near Tampa, Florida USA Post Number: 979 Registered: Sep-04 | so im guessing you mean whats the difference between dual 2 ohm 4 ohm and 6 ohm? well for one i was not familiar with the fact that they produced a dual 6 ohm. but either configuration will sound the same for rap. they just have different wiring options... for example d2- you can wire to 1 ohm load or 4 ohm load d4- you can wire to 2 ohm load or 8 ohm load D6- you can wire to 3 ohm load or 12 ohm load so you just want to match the sub with your amp for example. if your amp is 1 ohm stable you want the d2 if you amp is stable at 2 ohms you want the d4 if your amp is 4 ohm stable then you want the d2 and if you have a JL slash amp you can use either d2, d4, or d6 hope that helps... main thing is that they all sound the same. |

Bronze Member Username: TarekPost Number: 11 Registered: Sep-05 | Ya I'm getting 2 JL 12W3's and was wondering what one to get (d2,d4,d6). And the JL 500/1. |
Silver Member Username: Tdeaton1021Near Tampa, Florida USA Post Number: 985 Registered: Sep-04 | he can still run the D6... that would give himn a 1.5 ohm load which a JL amp does fine. but i would just get the D2 and wire them series/parallel to get a 2ohm load. |

It's just a matter of matching the right subs to the amplifiers you'll be using to drive them. |
