I recently bought 5 Lightning Audio 300.4 (900w max) amps (used). I tested each for power by hooking them up, only one at a time. All wiring is hooked up correctly and there's no room for error. They all power on, but only for a SPLIT second and then the PROTECT light comes on. Does anyone have any suggestions? Is there something that usually goes bad internally in these amps? Are they easily fixable? Thankyou All.

I also have another question... I need at least 4 of these amps to work to power 4 of my 8 Infinity 1230w (1200w peak) subs. Should I go for a ported box??? The manuals show different charts of ported, bandpass, sealed levels. I was told these subs are a very good make - Is this true?? Thanks again, SiX.
