Polyfill....does it really work?

i have a 10'' sub in a sealed box, if i put polyfill in it will it make it sound better?

yes it will work for a sealed box and yes it will sound better. for vented boxes the polyfill will fall apart over time because air is going in and out .

polyfill will make your sub sound better if your enclosure has below the optimal air volume for your sub. Polyfill tricks the driver into thinking that its in a bigger enclosure, by up to 10% or so.

polyfill can be used and is used in ported boxes as well.

polyfil in a sealed box made my 15 avlanche sound much better and hit lower. its definetly worth the 2 dollars

I have 2 type R's in a ported box, what would polyfill do to it?..where do you get it..what is it?

im about to make a custom sealed box for my car, and trying to learn as much about them as possible, if i get the box volume about right would it still be worth it to use polyfill?

yes... polyfil makes the woofer have better SQ IMO. remember, you can always take it out.

polyfil is basically the insides of a cheap pillow. you can go to wal mart in the crafts section and find a bag of it.
