Enclosure question

When you mount the sub to the baffle, do you predrill the holes? also, do you use the same screws you use for the box? I used 1 5/8" course drywalls with a #7 head

you dont have to.
and you use screws that won't go through the other side of the wood.
or at least i wouldn't:-)

Yes pre-drilling helps . I usually use phillpis head self thread screws 10 or 12guage i believe it is & i personally use screws that are about a 1/2 longer than what the thickness of the baffle board is - my reason : in case anybody tries to steal the sub its gonna take them a long time using a handheld screwdriver !

Then bolt your box down to the car's flooring & use 6" LONG screws on your subs then - make sure the @#$%*! b@stards work hard for it !!!!!!!!!Upload

I know somebody that scrwed the sub to the trunk floor, but then he realized he started to get terrible gas mileage on the car............................................................................. ....................
