...Hey guys out there, if you ever have to drill your subs boxes onto the chasis of your car(or even amp) make sure you don't drill through that fuel tank....And at first you don't realize it but your whole garage smelss like gasoline and you are burning gas fast with that incoming air coming in from those wholes in the tank. And when you have it inspected your realize that your whole tank is drilled with fairly big wholes and that it costed $110 to fix because of a dumb mistake!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AHHRRHRHHGHG...i got the bill yesterday..

yup
I saw that happen a lot with the 80s and 90s firebird/TA/camaro bodies
the tank sits just behind the angled forward portion of that drop section in the trunk.
People would mount baffle boards or boxes back there and screw em in, or amp racks etc.. and go right into the tank.

here's another warning from an old pro:
when mounting amps and such under seats etc check UNDER the car body and locate teh fuel lines.
be sure you don't put a screw through your fuel line when mounting things to the floorboards.
It's not pretty to see your gas being sprayed all over the street.
