BROKEN ECLIPSE SUB! How do i fix it?

Unregistered guest
I bought 2 really nice Fujitsu Ten/Eclipse subs and one of them sounded blown when I hooked it up. I'm not sure if it is blown or if it was damaged in the mail, but I don't know where to take it to be repaired. I tried to contact Fujitsu Ten but they are in Japan. I just dont want to get swcrewed over here... Does anyone know where I could send it bc from what I hear, not many people work on this brand. THANKS!!!

Well to be honest there really is no other place you can take the sub to be repaired if it is damaged. A local stereo shop won't do it if they don't sell that particular brand and I highly doubt any online place would either. Your best bet is contact the manufacturer or wherever you bought the subs and send it back for repairs for free. If they are fresh out the box when you hooked them up it could be that you don't have them hooked up properly or you have a grounding problem with your amplifier or that maybe you are not running the right amplifier for those particular subs. Check out those things first. Even though Fujitsu Ten is in Japan they have to have online or over the phone Technical Support.

I hope this helps. Good Luck

use Eclipse's US site
http://www.eclipse-web.com/

failing that try a shop that specializes in rebuilding subs like:
