im thinking of buying an eclipse 12'' aluminum subwoofer and it runs 450 watts rms and 900 watts peak. what amp should i get to power this?

These subs are typically under-rated. For the 2ohm DVC you can go with an amp that puts out 500-600w RMS at 1 or 4 ohms.

Maybe a PG Xenon 600.1 or JL 500/1, these will both opperate at 1-4ohms. MTX 1501D might also work.

If you went with the 4ohm DVC your options would be much better and probably cheaper....

Doh..sorry forgetting about 2 channel amps. Either way you should be able to find something that works

the JL isnt 1ohm stable but it will work well at 4ohms. How much do you want to spend? lets start there.
