you can get 2 15" audiobahns dub SE edition subs on ebay for like 136.00 shipped.. they say 500 rms and 1k max but my friend has had 1500 going to each for almost 4 months now without a problem.. they distort at higher levels but actually keep up for daily driving.. and they shake the earth..

I'll keep searching for ya ...

The SX is a mix of SPL and SQ, leaning more toward the SPL side.. but it's still a clean accurate sub.. just very efficient, and handles up to 1500 watts RMS.. trust me it gets very loud in a good box.
the fifteen retails for $269 plus shipping to your locale, and you order directly from www.reaudio.com
you can go there to read up on the SX series subs first if you like. See what you think.
The SE line isn't quite as loud, but they are less expensive as well, as another option.
Personally I use two of their XXX 12" subs in my own car.

I went from 2 15s to 2 10s to one 12 in my hatchback 2002 celica gt.

I like the 12s because it's just the right size to hit the tight bass notes like a 10 but have the spl like a 15 if you make a good box for it.

I'd say with a ported box it'd do fine but if you're deadset of 15s for cheap and you want ultra loud, get those SE audiobahns I talked about on ebay for 136.00 a pair. they say 500 rms/1000 max but my friend has had 1500 going to each of his for 4 months now without a problem. get 4 of them while you're at it.. still under 300 dollars.

Well 1 was 1st to mention RE as an option & Glass chose the SX 1000wrms model for your application . Your old gig had only 400wrms so now that should make ya happy .
If it was me i'd save some $ & later on buy another SX & 2 better brands of amps 1 amp/sub .

Ok so u o us each 150 - Upload

well also why ur friend in his integra was loud because its a hatch back and u share the same air or however u explain it with the subs and the car is alot alot alot smaller
for instance in the integra theres no seat infront of the trunk to block the subs

if u want sq get the SE from reaudio.com but from what i hear im gettin the SX 15"

Kuta : that sub is NOT Sounstream as they have written ,an SPLX SS is 1000wrms

http://www.soundstream.com/sub/products_subs_SPLX.html

That sub look like it came from a company called SPL which BTW i remember reading somewhere is associated with Power Acoustik who also makes Kole audio & SS is also manufactured by the same PA company .

Notice how cheap all these brands sell - more beginner stuff .

U had RFs before so don't drop below that level - go with the RE SE or even SX but u will a new amp .

Another 150 rupees u o me ! - lol

save for two XXX subs.. heh be realistic.
he has a budget of ~$200
a XXX 12" sub is almost $500, and he'd need about 1500 watts RMS per sub to drive them.
not to mention shipping. They weigh 60lbs each

if your budget is $300 CND...then i would say 1 RE SE 15", but only because the SX is a little our of your price range.

If you are willing to save up a lil more, then go for an SX15. i ran mine on 150wrms, yea 150wrms thats not a type-o, for bout 2 months when i first got it. it was very loud for only 150wrms. with 700wrms, it should be really nice. i have my SX15 running on about 1400wrms now...and all i can say is DAM_N. RE SX line is amazing...give a the 15" about 3.5-4.5 cu ft and tune low. you will love it if you build the box right.

i wouldnt go w/ those audiobahns though...they are made very cheaply. just this past weekend, a friend of mine that has 2 audiobahn 15's (about the same line as the A-bahn mentioned above) and an memphis 1000d, he thought his stuff was great. then he got in my truck to hear my 1 SX15 on a JBL bp1200.1. after one song he only had one thing to say about how loud my SX was:

"man, thats just ridiculous."
all i did was smile :-)

I am interested as to how you can wire it to so many VC configurations what is it a quad coil? I would go with Marshall and Glass and go RE but if you already bought it then you have no option.

I highly doubt they have an XMAX of 2". That is an XMAX of 50mm, checked the conversion. You might want to get correct information, because there is no freaking way that sub has an XMXAX of 50mm

50.8mm to be exact in the conversion.

hey i got this sub hooked up...

it was wired up for each voil coil, 2 set of wires,

i only wired one and bridged it to my amp
so thats 700 rms @ 2 ohms,

and it pounds like its moving good but it wasnt quite as loud as my two 15s... why?

box is ported... and i have my gains like at half.. more than i had my rockfords at..

i cranked the gains up and it sounds louder.. just about my rockfords

whata a good amp that can feed at least around 800 rnms or a lil higher, cuz i think my amp is underpowered

800 wrms @ how many ohms ?

If u are getting a 'gut feeling' that u may have made a 'boo boo' & can easily get a refund on that sub then do that & start on over ...
